WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF THE PROCESS STARTED WITH STRATEGY RENOVATION ?
Over the years, we frequently had to provide a budget to customers from their own plans. The architects, designers and technologists are trained to design, not to assess costs. Many times, budgets were under assessed and customers may delay or cancel their project. Deception! That's why Stratégie Rénovation has set up a team that includes all services. After the first meeting, the budget will be known. Thereafter, the professionals may work with a budget.
HOW TO DETERMINE AN APPROXIMATE BUDGET ENVELOPE ?
At the first inspection, Stratégie Rénovation is listening to your needs and expectations, and examines the property. In 27 years, we have carried out more than 1000 projects including 24 different trades. Overall, our database of production costs contains some 7000 items and is updated annually. Our initial assessment is accurate to + / - 15%.
HOW TO EVALUATE THE ACCURATE COSTS OF A PROJECT ?
Each property is unique and each client has different needs. All our projects are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, item by item. Stratégie Rénovation provides a detailed estimate. For example, bathroom estimate contains 150 to 200 items.
ENTREPRENEURS HAVE THE REPUTATION OF CHARGING MORE THAN THE INITIAL BUDGET. WHAT IS YOUR POSITION ?
Some renovators, as a tactic, will file a budget at cost and seek profit on the extras or contingencies. We are entrepreneurs, not warriors! Our position is simple: the average unexpected on our projects is 3%, and it’s included in our selling prices. Should an undetectable problem arise, we advise the customer, who decides to fix it or not. Each amendment to the contract must be approved. In addition, our experience shows that consumers benefit from our presence to add options to the original contract. The average of these options is 15%.
WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES ?
Our prices vary depending on the tasks performed. The hourly rate of an electrician and a daily are not the same. We calculate the number of hours involved and materials required. On projects such as kitchens and bathrooms, we work at a fixed price. Although, on centenarians properties for example, we usually work at a price that roughly includes the time of workers and inventory costs plus the administration and profit.
WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF PROJECTS FOR STRATÉGIE RÉNOVATION ?
Our mission includes small projects to improve your home, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, home offices, and so on. We also renovate whole properties and build extensions.
DOES STRATÉGIE RÉNOVATION ALWAYS USE THEIR EMPLOYEES OR SUBCONTRACTORS ?
The demolition, disposal of garbage, carpentry, installation of gypsum, tiles and finishing is done by ourown workers. The specialized tasks, such as plumbing and electricity, are carried out by regular subcontractors.
WHAT ARE THE HOURS TO ARRANGE A VISIT ?
We meet our customers Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. But in cases of emergency, such as a disaster, we are flexible. As for the work itself, we begin at 7:00 am and finish around 3:00 pm.
CAN STRATÉGIE RÉNOVATION WORK WITH THE CUSTOMER’S ARCHITECTS AND DESIGNERS ?
Yes. And if necessary, we can suggest changes.
